Communication is fundamental to our everyday lives. It can be in the form of written, verbal, text, and video. Video is becoming the most common way of communicating in a short amount of time and since 75% of all communication is non-verbal, learning how to effectively communicate using this format will be a useful tool for your future in education and in the workforce (Thompson, 2011). A video lab report will allow you to make a creative video and communicate the results of your lab experiment. You will need to apply the steps of the scientific method and communicate each step using a video format.
You will have four tasks that will need to be performed to complete this WebQuest.
TASK 1: You will learn how to make a video using Window Live Movie Maker using online resources. You will then create your own video using pictures, videos, and music that describe you. Demonstrate your technical ability by uploading and emailing the video.
TASK 2: Apply the steps of the scientific method by designing your own experiment.
TASK 3: Perform your designed experiment and collect data. Once you have completed the lab, you will use a graphic organizer to help you decide what to include in your video lab report.
TASK 4: Use the graphic organizer to create a video lab report using Windows Live Movie Maker.
